Anup Pramanik has completed his Ph.D from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi in Quantitative Economics in 2014. He holds MS degree in Quantitative Economics from ISI Delhi and B.Sc in Economics from the Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, University of Calcutta. Before joining Shiv Nadar University, he was working as an assistant professor in economics at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Anup Pramanik works on Mechanism design, which deals with the design of institutions (mechanisms) with the aim of helping societies take collective decisions. In particular, his research examines the strategic, efficiency, and fairness properties of economic mechanisms.
