From food security to food justice

Organizations can use social media analytics as an effective assessment tool from behavioral perspectives, HR as well as business process to collaboratively build competency framework. The present piece of work is an attempt to put forth social media as a contemporary model in the light of the existing literature. Providing literature reviews, this paper also highlights current practices of social media analytics as to how organizations are accessing vast amount of live data from social media in order to understand work-related behavioral aspects of the employees and their employability for both HR process and the business. The analyzed data on customers is also being taken into account to highlight patterns and customers' sentiments related to the marketing efforts. Furthermore, on the basis of the above presented discussion this paper suggests the road map to how organizations can foster the social media practices. Finally, this paper raises some significant plausible research questions to be empirically researched in order to methodically validate or discard the presented framework on this rapidly emerging phenomenon.

The contemporary framework on social media analytics as an emerging tool for behavior informatics, HR analytics and business process [Suvremeni teorijski okvir analize društvenih medija kao novog alata za informatički pristup ponašanju, analizu ljudskih potencijala i poslovnih procesa]

The study of successful working of Gambhira Collective Farming Society located near Anand, Gujarat, since 1953, is the basis of the paper. The objectives of the study are to (a) examine and analyse the systems, processes and working of a collective and (b) Study the impact of a collective on its members and the community. The Co-operative Farming Concept is explained along with details of working of the Society. The pattern of group formation and land distribution as well as income distribution is elaborated. Factors behind the sustenance of the Gambhira Collective are identified. The society has helped improve economic and social status of the members. It also extended help to their communities by funding village development project like building roads, water tanks etc. It is suggested that proper implementation of the Co-operative farming movement can help overcome problems of small and marginal Indian farmers in distress.

Preface

Initial Public Offering (IPO) is a milestone in a corporation's financial strategy. Studies probing this cardinal activity are diverse. While, post–issue stock performance dominates the IPO literature, valuation and pricing and ownership and structuring issues follow later in that order. IPO research found a firm ground in some of the well-established finance theories like signaling theory and capital structure theory. The effect of institutional investors in various aspects of the IPO process is the theme of a relatively new stream of research on public offerings. While most of the studies are done in the context of US, an equally rich set of publications can be found in other contexts too. Unlike who provides the review based on IPO process, this study reviews the literature on ‘IPO as a financial strategy' by integrating the factors like, underwriter selection involving venture capitalist, reducing informational asymmetries and reducing ownership without loosing control.
