The Department of Communication at Shiv Nadar University aims to establish itself as a premier institution for media production education in India. We follow an inter-disciplinary approach to ensure that our students are provided with a thorough grounding in all aspects of film and television production.

The Department of Communication, SNU is to develop students with the breadth of vision, knowledge, professional skills and attitudes. To ensure that students’ learning experience is abreast with worldwide industry practices.The emphasis is on providing students with opportunities to study a variety of subjects which serves to equip each student with the wisdom and skill-set to make informed choices while they negotiate the modern world. The mission of the Department of Communication at Shiv Nadar University is to create skilled artists with unique voices. The Department of Communication at SNU is focused towards engaging students in Film & Television Production alongside Media and Cultural Studies. Training in these separate yet intertwined aspects keeping in view the potential of film as a reflection and possibly, instigator of societal change, is what we wish to install.
