We suggest a modified factorization scheme within a supersymmetric framework which affords a consistent treatment of a wide class of Schrödinger potentials. Isospin violation in delta S=1 weak transitions-a re-examination

The baryon mass spectrum is studied to determine the u u, d, and s contents in the nucleon. We find that higher-order symmetry-breaking terms in the mass operator are necessary to estimate p|u»u|p, p|d»d|p, and p|s»s|p in a self-consistent way. We also assess the scalar (pseudoscalar) Higgs-boson couplings to baryons. © 1992 The American Physical Society.

Flavor violation in Higgs-boson couplings to baryons

We consider the nucleonic matrix element of the divergence of the gauge invariant flavour singlet axial current and show by a careful analysis that isospin-dependent terms persist in it. We also relate the axial singlet charge to the sum of the quark spin contributions and F D ratio and point out that in order to be consistent with the EMC data a small value is not ruled out. © 1991.

Utilizing the quark-glue structure of the eta and eta ' mesons and exploiting the SU(3) relationships among the meson-baryon coupling constant, the authors show that the baryon loop calculation of the pi 0, eta , eta ' to gamma gamma amplitudes allows one a straightforward estimation of the strangeness content in the nucleon. The role of the gluonic couplings of the eta and eta ' is explored.

Estimate of strangeness content of the nucleon

We have examined the saturation of anomalous Ward identities by the low-lying pseudoscalars 0, and to determine the sizes of 0, and 0 mixing angles. The mixing angle turns out to be about -20°which is consistent with the recent findings. Our estimate for the 0- mixing angle shows that it could be bigger than the older value obtained from the mixing, baryon mass splittings, and kaon mass difference. © 1990 The American Physical Society.

Supersymmetry and the ladder operator technique in quantum mechanics: The radial Schrödinger equation

Using infinite-momentum-frame techniques we generalize the Schwinger formula for the pseudoscalar nonets to include the effects of the (1460). By seeking consistency with its current rates we estimate the (1460) mixing angles. We also allow the possibility of nonet symmetry breaking in the couplings. A scenario of supersymmetry in quantum mechanics

A ladder-operator technique for generating isospectral Hamiltonians is presented. The most attractive feature of the scheme is that the results are obtained without any specific realization of the ladder operators. The method is applied to the N-dimensional Coulomb and isotropic oscillator problems. Supersymmetry and the three-dimensional isotropic oscillator problem

A correct procedure for constructing supersymmetry in three dimensions is presented. The degeneracies are found between states of the same l but different n and Z and the previous results on the Coulomb and the three-dimensional isotropic oscillator problems are reestablished. The authors also consider the hydrogen-helium problem and find supersymmetry to hold to a good approximation.

Supersymmetry in atomic physics and the radial problem

The SU(3) flavour structure of ι(1460) is exploited to seek consistency between vector meson dominance and anomalous Ward identities. Our analysis shows that a minimum of 10 to 20% breaking in nonet symmetry is necessary to get an overall fit with the radiative rates of low-lying η and η′. © 1987 Springer-Verlag.
