The Economics and Public Policy area deals with various aspects of economic theory and public policy. It critically analyses the economic foundation of policy formulation in different areas by the Government. Thrust areas of research includes analysis and models on consumer and firm behavior, different forms of commodity and factor markets, strategic interaction, determination of national income, fiscal and monetary policy, public finance, corporate finance, economic development and the like.
