Partha Chatterjee is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at Shiv Nadar University (SNU). His research interests are broadly in macroeconomics, international economics, and issues related to emerging economies. He has taught a variety of Undergraduate and Graduate and MBA courses. As the first head of the department he has contributed immensely in the development of the Department of Economics at SNU, and the university overall. Earlier he has worked as Assistant Professor at NUS Business School and Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi. He also has a keen interest in a variety of issues related to higher education, particularly in India. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Minnesota.
