Mousumi Ray, is a permanent faculty in ARSD College, Delhi University and is currently pursuing her doctoral research program in the Department of English, SNU. She is NET and SLET qualified, and has completed her Masters Degree from Calcutta University and M.Phil from University of Delhi. She has also done a short course in Crime Scene Investigation from SIFS India. She is an Ambassador of Peace prize awardee (UPF International).
Her research is on specific 21st century Detective narratives that highlight the lived experiences of marginalisation as spectral existence. Drawing from Derrida's concept of spectres as socio-political entities, this research undertakes a hauntological analysis of the spectral turn affected in the cultural delineations of our contemporary moment.
