Jaideep Ghosh is Professor of Decision Sciences, Operations Management, and Information Systems in the School of Management and Entrepreneurship at Shiv Nadar University. Earlier he was a Ramanujan Fellow Scientist of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, working at CSIR. Before returning to India, he was teaching and doing research at George Mason University and the University of Maryland in the US. Besides teaching, he also worked and consulted in the US industry for nearly 12 years. Professor Ghosh is Associate Editor of the Journal of Global Information Technology Management (JGITM) published by Taylor and Francis. He's also served on the review boards of IEEE TEM, DSJ, IJPR, EJIS, SIR, among others. He's a permanent member of the Academy of Management (AOM), USA and the Academy of Information Systems (AIS), USA. He is also a Core Team Member of the ongoing World IT Project, a massive collaboration project involving researchers and academicians from 40 different countries in the world and headquartered in the US. He's given many invited lectures, and most particularly, workshops on social network analysis in business and management in India and abroad. His current research and teaching interests include modeling and simulation in business and economics (in particular, innovation and creativity); mathematical finance and financial engineering; data science and business analytics used in large-scale socioeconomic and financial systems. His other interests include Indian and western classical music, hiking, photography, and reading. The Himalayas, the rivers of India, the wildlife of the world, and quantum physics fascinate him.
