Me, Dr. Dhar is a physical inorganic chemist. The primary motivations of my research is to develop new heterogeneous and homogeneous catalyst for C-H and O-H activation using first row transition metals, and hence minimizing the use of rare metals as catalysts in synthetic chemistry. At present we are studying phosphorus and sulphur doped graphitic material as a new generation carbocatalyst. Till date, I have published more than 30 research articles in peer reviewed scientific journals. In 2018, CSIR, India has sanctioned the project entitled "Development of Fe(III)complexes of amido-quinoline tetradentate acyclic ligands: Catalysts for C-H activation and Epoxidation".
