Using the σ- and π-donating properties of carbodiphosphorane ligands, we recently synthesized a phosphorus (III)-containing dication. It is observed to undergo interesting reactivity with PMe3, H2O, and MeOH. © 2015 Copyright © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
