A Proposed Method for Extracting the Proton Geometry in the bSat Dipole Model from HERA Data

I propose a method for extracting the gluon geometry of the proton using the three sets of measured data from the experiments H1 and ZEUS at the HERA accelerator. In the bSat dipole model, a three-dimensional geometry of the proton is used, parametrised at leading order in the running coupling. The longitudinal direction is modeled in momentum space, while the transverse direction is modeled in impact parameter coordinate space. The data sets are: combined inclusive DIS, combined inclusive diffractive DIS, and exclusive diffractive DIS. The first two data sets can be used to extract the proton size, while the third is sensitive to its shape. © 2018, Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature.
